Surgery Closures – Westgate

The Westgate Practice will be closed for Protected Learning Time (PLT) from 13:00 as legislated by the Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Integrated Care Board (ICB) on the following dates in 2024/25:

The practice will be open as usual at 08:00 the following morning.

Extended Hours

Two days a week, on a Monday and Thursday, we offer specific late surgeries (between 18:30 and 20:00) at Westgate, Greenhill Health Centre. These appointments need to be pre booked.

We also offer Saturday morning appointments at Samuel Johnson Community Hospital from 08:00 to 12:00. These appointments need to be pre booked .Please note that these appointments are with those doctors available on the day and not necessarily the doctor of your choice.

Out of Hours Service

Between 18:30 and 08:00 Monday to Friday, and all day at weekends and on Bank Holidays, your call will be redirected to the NHS 111 service.

Out of Hours Hub

Lichfield and Burntwood Primary Care Network’s (PCN’S) and its member GP Practices use GP Connect to make appointments at the Out of Hours Hub.

GP Connect is a service that enables authorised Out of Hours Doctors and Advanced Clinical Practitioners to quickly and efficiently and in real time, view your full GP medical records from your own GP Practice at your Out of Hours appointment. This includes medications, referrals and other key clinical information to make a better and more informed decision about your treatment.
