Outbreaks of Norovirus are being reported in our local hospitals and care homes. Numbers are higher than expected for this time of year and are increasing at an alarming rate.
To help protect our patients and staff, patients with diarrhoea and/or vomiting will be initially assessed via a phone appointment. If the clinician feels the patient needs a face to face assessment, this will be arranged with the patient and PPE should be worn.
