Face Covering Policy – from Tuesday 7th June 2022

Following updated guidance from NHS England on 1st June 2022, the Westgate Practice can confirm that the requirement to wear a face mask or covering has been greatly reduced. The requirement to wear a face covering will be limited to those patients presenting with any respiratory symptoms and those who may be seen with suspected or confirmed Covid-19.

If you would feel more comfortable wearing a face mask or covering within the building or when attending an appointment, please continue to do so. Whilst we are now living with Covid-19, we would ask anyone displaying covid symptoms to not attend the surgery unless requested to do so. Keeping our patients and staff safe, remains our highest priority, with our guidance surrounding infection prevention and control being reviewed regularly.

The Westgate Practice would like to thank all our patients for their understanding and cooperation during this time.
