Patient Services Assistant (Receptionist)

We are looking to appoint a Patient Services Assistant. The successful candidate will provide a high standard of clerical service to the Westgate GP Practice, ensuring an efficient reception and administrative service for both patients and doctors and will also demonstrate good customer care skills and an ability to work with computerised IT systems.

The post will be based at the Greenhill Health Centre in Lichfield however we have a branch surgery at Shenstone and flexibility is required. Candidates may be required to work at either surgery.

The post is for 26.25 hours per week over five weekdays and will alternate weekly between morning sessions 8:00am – 1:15pm and afternoon sessions 1:15pm – 6:30pm, with the occasional 8pm finish on a Monday or Wednesday. Additionally the occasional Saturday morning will also be required. These are to cover our ‘’Extended hours’ service and are on a rota basis.

Salary: £15,100 pa pro rata rising to £15,894 pa pro rata on successful completion of probation period.

Patient Liaison Officer

The Westgate Practice is a large friendly teaching practice in Lichfield serving over 28,000 patients. The Practice also has a Branch Surgery at Shenstone.

 

We are looking to appoint a confident, enthusiastic, and proactive person to develop this role of Patient Liaison Officer. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be a competent user of IT.

 

The role includes managing and dealing with all aspects of patient liaison, including the Patient Participation Group, patient feedback and complaints management, website information, notice boards and the Practice patient leaflets. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing the Care Navigation aspect of the role including acquiring and maintaining a detailed knowledge of local community and voluntary sector services to enable sign posting of people at risk of loss of independence.

The role is for 25 hours per week 9:30 – 2:30 Monday to Friday with occasional flexibility to attend meetings required.

Salary: FTE £20,582.30
